Meet the Team

With over 30 years in the industry, Joe can certainly be considered an expert! As Sales Director, Joe is responsible for business development and spends most of his time working with businesses to ensure their PurGo system meets their requirements. Joe is an enthusiastic musician in his spare time and an accomplished artist.

Andy co-founded VWS Software Solutions in 2014 and heads up the team as Managing Director of the business. With a lifetime of experience working within the waste management industry, Andy wanted to create a system that is "Built by the waste industry for the waste industry", where the focus is on streamlining processes, boosting efficiency, improving customer service and providing quick and concise management information. From this PurGo was born. In his free time, Andy enjoys taking part in extreme water sports and skiing as well as spending time with his family.

Bartosz co-founded VWS Software Solutions in 2014 and he is the Technical Director of the business. Bartosz belives that combined years of experience from both, Software development and operations in Waste Management, gives a unique position to understand and fulfill the true needs of a Waste & Recycling Management business. Spending the last 3 years on Research and Development resulted in what we believe is a brand new, market-leading product - PurGo Waste Management! In his spare time Bartosz is a zealous hockey player. He also loves kitesurfing with his wife.

Roo joined VWS Software Solutions in Feb 2016 as a Software Support Engineer. With over 10 years experience in the waste industry, starting at the ground floor on dustcart rounds as a teenager, Roo has the knowledge and know-how to deliver the highest levels of support to our customers. Because of great performance, a great understanding of business as well as software combined with his "can do" mentality, he was promoted to Software Support Manager. In his spare time Roo is passionate about healthy living and he loves to hike, cycle & surf

Ross is part of the Software Support Team based in Liverpool. He started in January 2017 as a 1st Line Support Engineer. Ross' outstanding performance led him to become a Senior Support Engineer in August 2019, followed by 2nd Line Support Manager in June 2021. Ross now provides Advanced Technical Support to customers, both online and over the phone and works with them to ensure their PurGo software meets their requirements. Ross is one of the company's contributors to our knowledge base articles as well as the release notes - ensuring all of our customers are informed of the new features and exciting changes in PurGo.

Daniel is an integral part of our Software Support Team based in Liverpool. He joined the team in May 2017 as a 1st Line Support Engineer and has since climbed the ranks through to 1st Line Support Manager

Marta joined VWS Software Solutions in Feb 2015 as a Service Engineer and after one year, became a Training Manager. With a demonstrated history of working in Transport Operations, as well as Transport Compliance for 10 years, when it comes to training in these areas, she could not be happier. Marta's main duties are: identifying priorities and drawing up training plans by assessing future and current training needs, presenting in-person and online training sessions, preparing feedbacks or reports on training groups, targets, and accomplishments, preparing customized department training strategies or modules. In her spare time, Marta loves socializing with friends and family and she is also interested in interior design.

Adam joined the training team at VWS Software Solutions in February 2017. With over 25 years’ experience in the industry, Adam has a comprehensive understanding of our customers’ operational requirements and he works closely with them to ensure they maximise the benefits available from the PurGo system. Adam also has first class skills in Crystal Reports, which supports his ability to provide customers with the information they need from the system. In his spare time, Adam enjoys spending time with his family and playing the guitar.

Bartosz is a Project Development Team Leader and Senior Developer in our development team. He has been with the company since the very beginning after attending high school and university with Andy Mirecki and Bartosz Krzyzanowski. Before joining the company, he worked for a high profile company that developed custom turnkey solutions for back office, front office, middleware and business intelligence systems for global IT leaders such as SAP and Microsoft. Bartosz recently completed IRONMAN 70.3 Sprint – an achievement that he is very proud of.

Ayman joined the team in February 2021 and is responsible for developing new business. Prior to starting his journey within the waste industry, Ayman was managing a central London pub. Sales was always something he enjoyed, and he naturally found his way into a Sales Executive role with First Mile. It was his first experience of the waste industry and it very quickly captured his interest. When he's not working, Ayman is either watching a football match or spending time gaming with friends. Keeping fit is also very important to Ayman and he's a regular at the gym (when it's open!).

Andy is part of our Software Support Team based in Liverpool. He joined the team in October 2023 as a 1st Line Support Engineer. Andy enjoys helping customers, keeping things running smoothly, and digging into complex problems. He resolves customer technical support issues by phone, email and other channels. He enjoys hiking, has recently climbed Snowdon, and plans to climb the other Three Peaks: Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis.
